Griffin Fire Department
requests a special use permit to construct a water reservoir with an
outflow area and underground water lines at its fire station located on
Gravelly Beach Loop Road near its intersection with Young Road. The
concrete reservoir tank would be 15 feet high and 20 feet in diameter.

Multipurpose Facility at
St. Christopher's Community Church. A 6,670 square foot
facility, near 79th and Steamboat Island Road, that would include a
parish hall, great room, kitchen, five multi-purpose meeting rooms,
offices, a library, a nursery, and bathrooms with showers. The facility
could be used for pre-school and after-school tutoring, day care,
general community meeting space, and senior activities. The estimated
cost is $1.2 million. About $400,000 has been raised so far. St.
Christopher's will apply for a Special Use Permit and hope to get the
permit by August, 2006. Construction will not start until the Summer of
2007. The church has purchased a small adjacent lot and hope to finish
an expanded parking lot by December, 2006.
